The Leadership Institute is a weekly program for middle school students in Sullivan County, one of New York’s poorest counties. The Institute takes place in collaboration with St. John’s Episcopal Church in Monticello. As with all of RMM’s Youth Empowerment Programs, the Institute seeks to help its participants develop analytical, organizing and leadership skills as they make their way in the world. Of particular concern to the Institute is developing an understanding and comfort in effecting change within public schools.
