Liturgia Rural Worker Education Center

Rural & Migrant Ministry, in partnership with farmworkers in Western New York, has developed the Liturgia Rural Worker Education Center in Lyons, NY. Liturgia means: "Honoring the public work of the People". The Center offers experiential leadership development programs as we stand with rural workers, especially farmworkers, as they seek to improve working and living conditions. The Center also works with people in the labor, faith and student communities as they seek to be stronger allies with rural workers.

On October 3, 2010, there was a festival and celebration of the farmworkers in the Lyons area. It was attended by farmworkers from Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, and other countries. There was much singing and good food.
