Attention, all fun-seeking, artistic mentors! RMM needs caring and talented volunteer counselors for our Summer Overnight Leadership Camp. Spend a week in a tranquil, woodsy camp environment, serving as a leader and mentor to our population of rural and underserved youth, ages 8-17. Our campers learn to express themselves through music, dance, art and activism, under the guidance of world-class artists in a culturally diverse, immersive experience.
This summer, we will be returning to Holmes Camp & Retreat Center, 60 Denton Lake Road, Holmes, NY. We have an amazing camp being planned for up to 100 campers from around the state during the week of August 20-26. Staff and volunteers will begin on August 19.
We are looking for head counselors (those who have experience with camp and/or working with children at summer camps), counselors (those who are willing to work with and supervise our camper groups), nursing staff (EMTs, nurses, nurse practitioners, doctors), and waterfront staff (waterfront director, lifeguards).
If you are not personally able to be part of Summer Camp this year, we hope you'll share this message with your network to help us bring in the best possible staff for our very special campers. We are also in need of donations and school supplies. Our camp staff application can be found here.
