Bio

Maria Christina Martinez (she/her) is a first generation Mexican-American from Newburgh, NY and currently resides in Washington, DC. She is a progressive organizer and activist with years of strategic political and organizing experience in both electoral and issue-advocacy campaigns. She was formerly the Southwest Organizing Director and Latinx Engagement Director for U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren’s 2020 presidential campaign. She has been active in politics for over a decade, advising on political strategy and community organizing in the labor, immigrant rights, judicial advocacy, climate and environmental justice movements locally and nationally from government, to nonprofits, advocates, and political campaigns. She has worked for the Office of U.S. Representative Sean Patrick Maloney, the Office of the New York Attorney General, 32BJ SEIU, and the Democratic National Committee as the Latino Coalition Director. She currently serves on the National Advisory Board for Groundwork Project and the Board of Directors for Rural and Migrant Ministry.
