The Rev. Garner has been an ordained United Church of Christ pastor for 33 years, having served UCC Churches in Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio and United Reformed Churches in London and Bath, England. Rev. Garner has resided in Long Island for 13 years. His wife, The Rev. Maurene O'Hagan and he have three daughters and five grandchildren. This is his second time on the Board of Rural & Migrant Ministry. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Association of the UCC and serves as Treasurer of the Long Island Council of Churches. The Rev . Garner is a lifetime member of Veterans for Peace.
